Are you serious? Did I miss something? This book was a complete and grotesque waste of my time! The Daily Telegraph is right though, 'the writing is pungent'. It stinks like S**T!!! As for uproarious antics, I'm funnier after three wines and a sedative!
On a positive note, Slaughterhouse 5 is only 157 pages so I managed to read most of it while getting a tattoo. Thankfully the tattoo distracted me from the intense, pain of reading Vonnegut's dim-witted, unintelligent, crap.
Tragically I am responsible for inflicting this torture on the book club members and I am tremendously apologetic for doing so.
